What is Restore Your Core (RYC™)?

RYC™ is a whole-body method developed by the brilliant Lauren Ohayon, an internationally recognised yoga and pilates teacher, who specialises in core and pelvic floor issues. It has already helped thousands of women. I'm excited to be one of the first certified RYC™ teachers in the UK.


Who is RYC™ for?

  • All women who want to improve/maintain their core and pelvic floor health
  • Women experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction, such as pain, prolapse, urinary urgency and stress incontinence (eg leaking when you sneeze, laugh, exercise etc)
  • Women experiencing core issues, such as diastis recti and back pain
  • Pregnant women and women at all fitness levels are welcome


How will RYC™ help you?


Pelvic floor and core issues are really common, affecting millions of women.


Unfortunately, many healthcare practitioners suggest kegel exercises are the only answer. Even the NHS website advises this. The common belief is that a tight pelvic floor = a strong and healthy pelvic floor. This is not true.

Restore Your Core is a method to retrain your core and pelvic floor muscles to be functional, reflexive, responsive and supportive to your body. Restore Your Core helps you learn to move better, exercise better, uncover movement compensation patterns and create new patterns of strength, mobility, length and support.


In RYC™ classes, you will:


  • Learn exercises that restore core and pelvic floor function.
  • Correct unhelpful posture and movement patterns.
  • Practise breathing techniques that support ideal core and pelvic floor function.
  • Learn how to get the most of out of your exercises and day-to-day movements.
  • Get tips about other relevant lifestyle changes.
  • Receive individual assessment, plus exercises that suit your unique body.


Where can I take a RYC™ class?
